Earning Points through the Affiliate System:
The Affiliate System is designed to help you earn commissions by inviting new users to the site through banners or referral links. To earn points, you need to use your own referral link or banner, depending on the settings, and invite new users. When the invited user makes a purchase on the site, you, as the sponsor or inviter, may also receive commissions for their activity.
Rewarding Members for Activity:
If you want to reward members with points for their activity, such as creating discussions, you don't need the Affiliate System. Instead, you should use the Points System. This system allows you to reward members with points for their actions. To do this, go to Studio > Points System > Actions area and enable the "Discussions" activity for which you want to reward members with points. In your case, you would enable points for "New Item Added" and then try to create new desccussion, you will get new points.
